The RICS Home Survey - Level 2 was previously known as the Homebuyer Report. It has recently been updated and reviewed by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The RICS Home Survey - Level 2 is suited to properties dating from the 1900’s onwards that are of traditional construction and in reasonable condition.
The RICS Home Survey - Level 2 consists of a comprehensive visual inspection of the property and includes descriptions, advice and condition ratings for each element of the building.
We also offer the RICS Home Survey - Level 1. This survey level may be appropriate if you’re buying or selling a conventional house, flat or bungalow that is in reasonable condition and built from common building materials. Due to its simple ‘overview’ format, is typically the lowest-priced survey that can be carried out for a property purchase. It’s not to be confused with a mortgage valuation, which a mortgage lender typically commissions. The RICS Home Survey - Level 1 is typically not appropriate for buildings that are more than 10 years old, those of non-standard construction or properties with known defects.

MANY THANKS FOR THE LEVEL 2 HOME SURVEY REPORT CARRIED OUT LAST WEEK. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH IT – VERY DETAILED AND THOROUGH. THE FOLLOW UP CONVERSATION WAS ALSO MOST USEFUL.
